Wait for me!

Hi guys! I know, I know… it’s 2017 already and, honestly, I still haven’t posted most of my travels (and whatnots) here. I’m currently in the process of “resurrecting” my blog, so please don’t go away! More travels, foodtrips, and … Continue reading

J is for Just Water

Yep, you read that right: just water! Haha. Nature never fails to fascinate me with its beauty. Whether it’s in the form of a mountain, flower, or waterfalls, I can’t really stress this enough: I love the great outdoors. During … Continue reading

I is for I Capture You

The following photos are actually part of my ongoing project, #MyPhotograpig (just a temporary hashtag; will change it if I come up with something more interesting lol). You might be wondering, “What the hell is that?” Well, #MyPhotograpig is just … Continue reading

#JaneyGoesTo: Mt. Batolusong (with side trip to Kay Ibon Falls)

Date: February 27-28, 2016 So, it’s my first time to climb a mountain, second time to organize a DIY trip (yippie for me hihi), and third time to go out with my college blockmates— although we were only five in … Continue reading

#JaneyGoesTo: Taytay Falls (or Majayjay Falls… or Imelda Falls)

Date: February 14, 2016 Yes, we visited one of Majayjay, Laguna’s famous falls on a holiday! Valentine’s Day, to be exact. Haha. But, believe it or not, we didn’t plan this as a Valentine’s getaway… but it turned out to … Continue reading

#JaneyGoesTo: Fortune Island

So, I guess it’s official: project #JaneyGoesTo is now on the road! Haha. (A lil’ background: After our Sagada trip last year, I made a promise to myself that I will travel more this year. Since I can handle it physically, … Continue reading

A is for Adventures

Wow, time flies so fast! It’s already April 1 and we all know what that means… let the A-Z Blogging Challenge begin!

Image

I love travelling. I like going out and being exposed to new places and stuff. If I have a lot of time and money, I could’ve easily toured the world already. But, unfortunately, I’m just a regular working gal with very few vacation leaves and cash to spare.

That doesn’t mean I haven’t gone anywhere, though.

Image

For my first A-Z Blogging Challenge entry, I would like to share all my local escapades. For the past three years, I was able to go to some of the best places here in the Philippines. I know I still have a lot to explore, but for now, I’m grateful because I’ve been to these awesome Philippine gems.

1. Sagada, Mountain Province (2011)
Thanks to our Photojournalism class in college, I was able to see one of our country’s untouched tourist spots. All of its uniqueness and purity. Dying to go back here!

(Of course, you have to have that tourist solo shot…)

2. Anilao, Batangas (2012)
Again, thanks to one of our Journalism classes in college, I was given the chance to experience the party under the sea. Plus, awesome buffet from breakfast to dinner!

(Ready to dive!)

(Yes, we didn’t go deep into the water, but I’m still satisfied because I was able to see the underwater life. Amazing!)

3. White Beach, Puerto Galera (2013)
First outing with my officemates. “Beachin'” at its finest!

4. “Bundok,” Antipolo (2013)
Another out-of-town trip with my officemates. As we always say, “Binago kami ng bundok!” (The mountain changed us!)

Image
(By the falls. The water’s too cold and too deep– very risky!)

5. Boracay (2014)

My recent beach escapade with my officemates. You can read my full posts here: intro, day 1, day 2, day 3, and day 4.

(Free snorkeling… sort of)

Explore. See. Experience. Go out. TRAVEL!

Oh, one more thing: Some of the pictures used here are not mine. Photo credits go to Alex Panzo, Ais Medina, Anna Peralta, DJ Baquiran, Paolo Supena, Andrea Marcos, Adrian Penus, and Mike Asuncion. Tell me if I forgot to put your name here. 😛

Happy blogging (and travelling)!

Boracay Diaries: Introduction

Posts in order (for easy navigation):

——————————————————-

There’s always a first time for everything— first plane ride, first white sand, first extreme water ride, first motor ride on the mountains, first “slightly-dramatic-walk-on-the-beach-with-fading-footsteps-behind,” first ink on the back… For me, all these “firsts” happened in one place: Boracay.

Image

Oh, what a wonderful place. Crystal-clear waters, beautiful white sand, exquisite view of sunset… For a first-timer like me, Boracay was a piece of heaven. Never mind the crappy island hopping experience. Never mind the horde of Koreans everywhere, making it seem like we’re on South Korea instead of Boracay. Never mind the banana boat that was more like a lousy pencil boat. Never mind all the negative stuff— for me, Boracay is the bomb!

Image

I’m glad to experience one of our country’s world-famous tourist attractions, but I’m even more elated because I was with my favorite people on the planet: my officemates. 😉

Nuff said. Now I give you… the Boracay Diaries! Join me as I share how we spent and enjoyed our four amazing days travelling and basking in Bora’s glory. Stay tuned!
