FunGenda 2013

First of all, happy happy 1st day of 2014! May this year be as kind and awesome as the last one. 😉

Okay, now I want to share my annual “pauso,” the FunGenda. It actually started in 2012, but I wasn’t able to post something about it here. FunGenda means “Fun Agenda,” a concept I got from Sonny With A Chance. It’s a simple 15-item list of things that I want to accomplish before a certain year ends. (This list is usually written in my Starbucks planner, but since I didn’t collect stickers for the 2014 planner… bye bye Starbucks FunGenda list!)

Now the question is… did I accomplish everything on the list? Simple answer: NO. Hahaha. But it’s okay, at least I was able to do some of them:

3. Buy an LBD
Date accomplished: January 25, 2013

I’ve always wanted a little black dress (LBD) ever since I got a little hooked on dresses. So when my aunt-slash-godmother gave me a P500 gift card for Christmas, I didn’t hesitate to get myself an LBD. Where did I buy it? Read item #8. 🙂

4. Go to an amusement park
Dates accomplished: February 11, May 31 and October 5, 2013

I never thought I’d enjoy Star City thrice last year! Hahaha. This year, my wish is to go to Enchanted Kingdom. Space Shuttle and EKstreme, here I come!

5. Go to a new place
Dates accomplished: July 27 and October 19, 2013

I was lucky and super happy to experience the wonders of Puerto Galera and Binayoyo, Antipolo last year! I expect more adventures and awesome places to visit this year (starting off with Boracay this month!)

7. Run 10K (at least twice)
Date accomplished: December 15, 2013

Though I wasn’t able to do it twice, I’m still very proud because I finished 10K before 2013 ended. Nailed it! More 10K runs to go this year!

8. Buy anything from Forever 21
Date accomplished: January 25, 2013

Yeah, this is where I bought the LBD. 🙂 I love all items from Forever 21, but they are super pricey. That’s why I’m glad to have a lovely dress from this store. Now I’m back to window-shopping until I can buy beautiful F21 clothes again. Hahaha.

11. Have a decent pair of running shoes
Date accomplished: January 24, 2013

Before my mom bought me this awesome pair of black Adidas running shoes (thanks mom!), I was using my old white not-really-for-running shoes for my previous fun runs— the pair to blame for my achy feet afterwards. Now I can run with ease and style!

12. Buy anything using my first paycheck!
Date accomplished: June 20, 2013

Technically, this isn’t my first pay (since I already worked part-time before), but it’s my first office job so… there. Too bad I forgot what my first purchase was. Hahaha!

There you have it… my silly FunGenda for 2013. Will there be a fresh list for this year? We’ll see. 😉

My 2013 in pictures

Wow! Time really flies so fast. Later, all of us will be welcoming 2014 into our lives. For me, it was just like yesterday when I posted a photo on Facebook, greeting everyone a happy new year. I can’t believe that I’ll be doing that again later (or not… hmm).

As 2014 fast approaches, I’m sure there will be lots of stories about how people spent their 2013. Of course, let’s not forget national issues and tragedies that affected us. But as for me, this is how my year went:

As the old adage goes, “A picture is worth a thousand words,” and it’s amazing how my year was summarized in one mishmash of photos from different events and everyday happenings. I’m very thankful for all the things that happened to me this year. Of course there were good and bad moments, but I’ve learned to cherish them all. I’m also grateful for the new faces I’ve met this year— from my EPH co-writers to my ESPC officemates. 🙂

2013 may have given me headaches, but it surely made me a better person. As I look back on my triumphs and downfalls this year, I’m confident that 2014 will treat me well. Hahaha. *cross fingers*

Happy new year to all of us! 🙂

Cheers,

Jane ❤

P.S.: This is going to be my last post for 2013. Well… see you all next year (which is tomorrow!) Lol.
