A is for Adventures

Wow, time flies so fast! It’s already April 1 and we all know what that means… let the A-Z Blogging Challenge begin!

I love travelling. I like going out and being exposed to new places and stuff. If I have a lot of time and money, I could’ve easily toured the world already. But, unfortunately, I’m just a regular working gal with very few vacation leaves and cash to spare.

That doesn’t mean I haven’t gone anywhere, though.

For my first A-Z Blogging Challenge entry, I would like to share all my local escapades. For the past three years, I was able to go to some of the best places here in the Philippines. I know I still have a lot to explore, but for now, I’m grateful because I’ve been to these awesome Philippine gems.

1. Sagada, Mountain Province (2011)
Thanks to our Photojournalism class in college, I was able to see one of our country’s untouched tourist spots. All of its uniqueness and purity. Dying to go back here!

(Of course, you have to have that tourist solo shot…)

2. Anilao, Batangas (2012)
Again, thanks to one of our Journalism classes in college, I was given the chance to experience the party under the sea. Plus, awesome buffet from breakfast to dinner!

(Yes, we didn’t go deep into the water, but I’m still satisfied because I was able to see the underwater life. Amazing!)

3. White Beach, Puerto Galera (2013)
First outing with my officemates. “Beachin'” at its finest!

4. “Bundok,” Antipolo (2013)
Another out-of-town trip with my officemates. As we always say, “Binago kami ng bundok!” (The mountain changed us!)

Image
(By the falls. The water’s too cold and too deep– very risky!)

5. Boracay (2014)

My recent beach escapade with my officemates. You can read my full posts here: intro, day 1, day 2, day 3, and day 4.

Explore. See. Experience. Go out. TRAVEL!

Oh, one more thing: Some of the pictures used here are not mine. Photo credits go to Alex Panzo, Ais Medina, Anna Peralta, DJ Baquiran, Paolo Supena, Andrea Marcos, Adrian Penus, and Mike Asuncion. Tell me if I forgot to put your name here. 😛

Happy blogging (and travelling)!

  1. Great pictures, Jane! Your cave experience looks particularly adventurous–hanging on to the rope for dear life! I don’t think I’ve ever seen much about the Philippines beyond whatever makes it to the news here in the US (which usually means it’s not good), so I appreciate this positive insight into your beautiful country. 🙂

    • Hi there Colin! Thank you so much! Yes, I agree; Philippines’ image is not so good overseas. But we still have a lot to offer– beautiful places (mostly undiscovered), delicious food and more. 🙂 Have you been here before?
And yes, the cave experience is so extreme! I personally recommend Sumaguing Cave if ever you’re in the country– it’s a must-visit!

  2. LOL!!!! Took me a while to understand that it’s not read as “Jane 01 was 25 here 14″….slllllooooow much!. Wow, not a year yet in the office and you’ve gone to three different nature trips already. Soon you’ll be having your own travel blog 😉

    *sigh* inggit much din 😦
